Weather: Winds were light and variable, often from the northwest. Skies were clear, with temperatures in the seventies.
Raptor Observations: There was a decent flight, with a good number of Bald Eagles of various ages. The first red-shoulder of the season passed by quite close to the platform.
Non-raptor Observations: The flickers are here! A total of 1,011 Northern Flickers were counted, mainly in the early morning. A massive northbound flight of warblers was occurring on the east side, but most of them were too far away to identify from the hawkwatch platform. Other observations included:
