A few migrants have been in evidence the last couple of days in Seaside.
WESTERN TANAGERS, BLACK-THROATED GRAY, TOWNSEND'S, and YELLOW WARBLERS.
Also a few unexpected EVENING GROSBEAKS. RED-SHOULDERED HAWKS are at Circle
Creek Conservation Area (North Coast Land Conservancy), Thompson
Creek/Stanley Marsh (NCLC) and Wireless Road (Astoria/Warrenton).
Red-breasted Nuthatches seem to be moving through as well. The first
Golden-crowned Sparrows showed up last week. Ruby-crowned Kinglets have
also arrived.

The Necanicm Estuary has been disappointingly species poor, with no
shorebirds lately.

One or two Great Egrets are frequenting the Necanicum River and nearby
haunts.

Heermann's Gulls remain easily found at the Seaside Cove.
