A ZONE-TAILED HAWK was reported from S. Walnut Avenue on the south side of
New Braunfels, *Guadalupe*, on 9/21. A Travis Audubon bird walk at Commons
Ford Ranch Metro Park in *Travis* spied an adult ZONE-TAILED HAWK on 9/17.
Three COMMON GALLINULES were photographed at the Foxhollow Road (CR 62)
ponds near Niederwald, *Caldwell*, on 9/21.
Perhaps continuing from the previous week or new arrivals were two
RED-NECKED PHALAROPES on Pond 1W at Hornsby Bend WTP, *Travis*, through
A late adult male BLACK-CHINNED HUMMINGBIRD was reported from a private
residence near Luling, *Gonzales*, on 9/19.
The now-resident BLACK PHOEBE was reported from downstream of the grotto at
Hamilton Pool Preserve, *Travis*, on 9/20.
A late WESTERN KINGBIRD was well studied at Hornsby Bend WTP, *Travis*, on
Rare in fall, a SWAINSON’S THRUSH was photographed in a backyard in south
Austin, *Travis*, on 9/19.
An immature BLACK-THROATED SPARROW was well photographed at Guadalupe River
State Park near Spring Branch, *Comal*, on 9/19.
At least one and as many as two BULLOCK’S ORIOLES were photographed on Lake
Creek Trail near Anderson Mill, *Williamson*, on 9/21.
A BLACK-THROATED GRAY WARBLER was photographed at private residence west of
Sisterdale, *Kendall*, on 9/21.
The male CAPE MAY WARBLER at Hornsby Bend WTP, *Travis*, was last reported
