Visitors:
12, many mountain bikers passing through. A runner stopped to enjoy the BW
flight. Thank you to all the visitors and observers today. Thank you to all
the veteran counters and the new volunteers who came on board this year.

Weather:
Winds were East then shifted NE back to East by the end of the count
period. Cloud cover and fog to start gave way to clear skies. Visibility
was excellent. Perfect viewing conditions at Rocky Ridge today.

Raptor Observations:
There was a huge flight of 3,500 Broad-winged Hawks from 1-1:30 EST (2-2:30
pm DST). One of the best BW flights recorded at this hawkwatch site. 20
years ago similar flight recorded was slightly larger. Veteran counters at
the site agree East/NE winds seem to produce at Rocky Ridge. A special day
for this site.

Small movement of other raptors including 4 Peregrine Falcons.

Non-raptor Observations:
Common Nighthawk-2
Common Raven-2
Double-crested Cormorant-8
Ruby-throated Hummingbird-4
Red-headed Woodpecker-1
