Weather: Light SSE breezes, 24-27C temps. Mostly cloudy early becoming partly cloudy. Good visibility. John Rowlett was on board as counter from 10-11am followed by John Spahr from 11am-4pm.
Raptor Observations: Very slow day! By mid-afternoon even the vultures abandoned the skies! However, John Spahr reported a DARK MORPH Red-tailed Hawk at 11:05am, which is rarely seen around here. An immature (1-YR) Bald Eagle at 12:11pm.
Non-raptor Observations: Even the passerine migration seemed blunted - no woodpeckers, swallows, warblers. No Monarchs. John Spahr did report a variety of butterflies including Buckeye, Tiger Swallowtail, Gray Hairstreak, Cabbage White, Clouded Sulphur, Red-spotted Purple, small golden skipper (?), Fiery Skipper, Pipevine Swallowtail.
