Two Buff-breasted Sandpipers were located this morning near the pull off on Indian Mound Road .25 miles east of the soccer fields.

The birds were closed to the soccer field mixed in with a large group of killdeer. They were difficult to pick up in the taller grass and further out from the road but they eventually started moving around on the sod. I saw one and then two others walked out of the higher grass. Best viewing was by parking at the soccer field and walking half way down towards the bridge to the large open viewing area. The birds were out in the wet area where the grass is a bit taller.
