Subject: [cobirds] Blanca Wetlands Shorebirds Latest
Lisa and I birded the area from top to bottom and had 12 species of
shorebirds today. Highlights included Snowy and Semi-palmated Plovers,
Baird's, Least, Solitary, and Stilt Sandpipers, and two Long-billed Curlews
(Alamosa County). Pond 114 and 16 are your best bets to find many of them.
An Eastern Kingbird, unusual for this Valley, has been hanging around North
Mallard at the Wigeon Ponds.
