27 August 2020: two in the morning, bedroom windows cranked open. Barely any moon to speak of. A *very *noisy cuckoo woke me up. I assume the bird foraged (between calls) in the front-yard walnut tree, which supports seven webworms tents, all of them swollen with fat, furry caterpillars.
