Subject: Bucks County Birders August 27th
Bucks County Birders invites you to our August 27th meeting. Holly Merker will present "Hawkwatching: The Delaware Valley's Greatest Airshow."  This presentation will cover the ecology of hawk migration, where to go hawkwatching, when to visit migration sites, as well as many tips on how to ID hawks in flight.

Holly Merker's passion for hawks in flight was ignited when she made visits to Hawk Mountain Sanctuary as a child. Holly has been an avid hawkwatcher for over 20 years, and is a volunteer hawk counter for Hawk Mountain Sanctuary in Kempton, PA, and the past education coordinator, a compiler, and a counter for the Rose Tree Park Hawkwatch in Media, PA. When Holly is not hawkwatching, she can be found working as an instructor for National Audubon's Hog Island Audubon Camp in Maine, directing a teen birding camp in Delaware for the American Birding Association, or teaching stream ecology to middle school students at a local non-profit.
Bucks County Birders meets on Tuesday August 27th at 7L30pm at the Peace Valley Nature Center, 170 N Chapman Rd, Doylestown, PA. Enter through the "deer gate" on the right side of the building. Meetings are free; all welcome.Directions:           40.33067, -75.14968
