Weather: Hot and mostly sunny with light mostly west wind. Hi temperature of 26.9 was reached at 3:00.
Raptor Observations: The Broadwings were mostly quite high and very far out over the valley. None of the raptors were very close. We also had a couple non-migrating Broadwings, a Red-tailed Hawk, and 5 Turkey Vultures.
Non-raptor Observations: American Crow 4, Cedar Waxwing 19, Indigo Bunting 2, American Goldfinch 5, Blue Jay 2, Eastern Towhee 2, Chipping Sparrow 4, Red-eyed Vireo 1, Tree Swallow 7, Ruby-throated Hummingbird 3.
Butterflies Monarch 47 (7 of which were flying south), Red-Spotted Purple 2, Tiger Swallowtail 8, Clouded Sulfur 11, Cabbage White 35, Pearl Crescent 3, Black Swallowtail 7, Pipevine Swallowtail 1, Great Spangled Fritillary 1, Wild Indigo Duskywing.
Predictions: Mostly Cloudy with scattered thunderstorms throughout the day. A high temperature of 27 C is expected.
