Subject: [MDBirding] Bird Watcher's Digest seeking birder-friendly restaurants!
Hello, Maryland/DC birders!

The November/December issue of Bird Watcher’s Digest will shine the
Spotlight column on Maryland. One feature of this column is “Feasts of
Birdin’," which are birder-friendly or birder-recommended restaurants near
hotspots. For example, most birders who visit Merritt Island National
Wildlife Refuge in Florida know to have lunch at Dixie Crossroads in
Titusville. There, you’ll see binoculars on many tables, as strangers
compare notes from their morning outings. Another one is Blackberry Corner
Tavern, near Magee Marsh, in northwestern Ohio. Its website even says
“Welcome Bird Watchers!” Are there such places near: Sandy Point State
Park, Point Lookout State Park, Hart-Miller Island, Patuxent River Naval
Air Station, Assateague Island National Seashore, Swan Creek Wetland and
Fort Smallwood Park, Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge, The C&O Canal,
Fort McHenry National Monument, or Jug Bay Wetlands Sanctuary? Or if not
birder-friendly, just restaurants near these hotspots you would recommend
to visiting birders?

Please email me directly at <jessica...> (do not reply to
this message) by 9 a.m. eastern, Friday, August 16. Thanks in advance for
your help!
