Subject: [sbcobirding] Shorebirds East Beach and Goleta
*Mission Creek* estuary had a lot of people, not many species, but lots of
big brown shorebirds:

*Area K* had 2 American Avocets, a Lesser Yellowlegs, and a Virginia Rail
issued a single 'grunt' sequence from the ditch below the bluff.
*Devereux Slough* had 1 Am. Avocet, a juvenile Yellow-crowned Night-Heron
was south of the half-bridge, and the Neotropic Cormorant showed its
extensive molt. See pic.
