This morning we had a small group and went to the millrace trail at 32d Street, Springfield.

Western Wood-Pewee 10
Black Phoebe 2
Steller’s Jay 4
California Scrub-Jay 10
American Crow few
Tree Swallow not many
Barn Swallow more than Tree S.
Black-capped Chickadee many
Bushtit two large groups
White-breasted Nuthatch 2, maybe more
Brown Creeper 1 heard
Bewick’s Wren 5

European Starling small numbers and one large gathering
Cedar Waxwing several individuals sharing the woodland but did not see a gathering

Spotted Towhee several adults and a couple of dark immatures

Bullock’s Oriole Heard chattering like an oriole, but some thought it was a Bewick’s Wren
Orange-crowned Warbler A warbler dived into bush from a tall tree and showed a yellow body, but could not be confirmed.

Western Tanager 1 bright male
Black-headed Grosbeak a family group and one separate individual
