Subject: [ia-bird] Black-bellied Whistling Ducks and Least Terns
The three BLACK-BELLIED WHISTLING DUCKS are still hanging out along the west
side of Lake Manawa in Council Bluffs. They're just south of the Westlake
Village Road entrance. A group of four LEAST TERNS that included three
juveniles was at the first pond north of the Mid-American power plant in
Mills county. They could be viewed from Basswood Road. This is just north
of where the Piping Plovers used to nest. I also had a BLUE GROSBEAK in the
area.
