Subject: [obol] Re: July 19 eBird Oregon RBA
Obviously not everyone uses eBird and even those that do, myself included, still have much to learn about some of the in and outs and nuances.

That said, if the sightings posted on the eBird Oregon RBA have a “CONFIRMED” means that a county reviewer has looked at the report and validated it into the public database.

The first line of the report reads under the initial list of species reads....
“NOTE: all sightings are UNCONFIRMED unless indicated”

Sincerely,
Russ Namitz
eBird Reviewer for Coos/Curry/Grant/Harney

PS: All counties have a Reviewer, sometimes two and then there are overall State Reviewers as well.
