Subject: [VTBIRD] Yellow throated vireo
At Colchester Pond this afternoon, in the trees by the parking lot. I heard it first, and dismissed it as a Catbird, but it continued to repeat its song, and I realized it was some kind of vireo, repetitive but with deeper, “burry” sound. Finally got a good look at it, even though it was thoroughly wet and bedraggled, bright yellow throat and chest, white belly, grey cap.
Was hoping to see Prairie Warblers too, but denied.
