Heard catbird singing in the brush along the old wooden footbridge today at 12:20pm, 6/19/19. Then after 5 minutes of singing it flushed onto a branch in clear view for half a minute, then flew back into brush further down creek and was quiet. Dark gray, mockingbird shape, with black cap. Not a photographer so no photo. Also viewed a possible grackle in Myrtle Creek off the car bridge along with red-breasted woodpecker feeding young in snag and nearby Calif. quail. Others in the area of interest: Osprey on nest, cedar waxwing, cowbird.
