Subject: [inland-NW-birders] Veery
On Monday night at dusk, I found a Veery on Deer Valley Rd. , west of
Newport at milepost 5.2. There is a small creek with lots of alder and
other brush along the road. Willow Flycatchers, Red-eyed Vireos, Yellow
Warblers, Swainson' Thrushes were the other noisier birds at the site.
It was doing only the veer call, so it may be a single female. I was back
there Tues. morning and still did not hear any singing.
