- Comments: "(Rare) Tried to be thorough with sapsucker observations. Four
nests observed in all. Third flagged nest from crossing in the western
forest quadrant had a female RNSA, next nest further northwest (and without
direct flagging on the poplar) had a male. Both paired with red-breasted
sapsuckers (or mostly such). Both observed several times bringing food,
removing fecal sacs, and interacting with mates.

Both birds with clear and clean white lines from bill past eye and with red
patches cleanly separated from black and white on the crown and throat.
Female with a pale chin and overall lighter plumage, male with full red
crown and throat."

near the footbridge. Mockingbird-like in shape and structure, but appeared
somewhat smaller; gray with a black cap. Besides complex song, series of
