Subject: [obol] Vanport Wetlands GT Grackle
The Great-tailed Grackle continues to be seen sporadically today at Vanport
Wetlands in North Portland. It was seen briefly on the bare island with
the martin tree at 6:20 and 8:40 this morning, very briefly at around 10:30
at the base of the willows along the far shore, and then again some time
between 11 and 1 on both the bare island and on the larger vegetated island
in the center. It seems to disappear into the willows in the northern part
of the wetlands for long periods of time, appearing only for a short time,
usually on the bare, rocky island. So bring either patience or luck with
you if you try for this bird.

Good birding,

Philip Kline
