At Millicoma Marsh- Coos Bay on Thursday the 30th around sunrise- one heard
only Bullock’s Oriole- always rare this time of year on outer coast in Coos.
Today, 31 May 2019, there were 37 Whimbrel and one Marbled Godwit at Bandon
Marsh early AM.
A bit later a Bullock’s Oriole was at Floras Lake, Curry- another late
migrant. Many bleached (yes molting) CA Gulls moving through there as usual
for this time of year (the gulls pour through the lake from off the ocean).
This is the time of year that very bleached Glaucous-winged Gulls get
reported as Glaucous Gulls also (one so far in Coos- check eBird closely).
