I'm not convinced it's a Pipit although I would not rule it out at this
point.
The tail on Eastern Yellow Wagtail does not have to appear 'quite long'.

The white-edged black secondaries appear very dark for a pipit .
and the back streaking very weak but on fresh, smooth, apparently-alternate
plumage.
