Subject: Migrants in SE Wake Co.
The last two mornings I have seen several migrants near my home in Garner.  These include blackburnian, blackpoll, and black-throated-blue warblers, redstart, veery, and multiple Swainson's thrushes.  I also came across a fledgling great-horned owl on a fallen log being fed by adult.  When they noticed me the adult flew off with the squirrel dinner and the youngster raised its wings and started snapping its bill at me.  Its head was downy except for the rufous facial discs.  Pretty cool.
