Subject: Late migrants in mulberry
Hi all.
Took an early morning walk on the Buckeye Trail along Crabtree Creek and
heard at least 3 Swainson's Thrush singing in a couple of groves of
mulberry, whose fruits are ripening right now. Such a pleasant song!
Also found a male Scarlet Tanager and female Rose-breasted Grosbeak feeding
in the same trees, along with Gray Catbird, Great Crested Flycatcher and
Blue Grosbeak- all of which nest along the creek.
