Bolton Notch very active this morning into early afternoon. 61 species total, including 16 warbler species. Most of the activity was on the west side of the pond and into adjacent Freja Park. Highlights were a single Tennessee Warbler and 2 Cape May Warblers. Other species of note were Swainson's Thrush (1), Blue-winged Warbler (1), Northern Waterthrush (2), Magnolia Warbler (3), Canada Warbler (5), Prairie Warbler (1), Blue-gray Gnatcatcher (4), Northern Parula (3), American Redstart (many), Common Yellowthroat (many), Yellow Warbler (many), Ovenbird (8), Black-and-White Warbler (many), Yellow-rumped Warbler (many), Pine Warbler (3), Black-throated Blue Warbler (2). Another observer reported Nashville and Blackpool Warbler.
It seems the recently arrived Belted Kingfisher has already found a potential mate. Lots of chasing going on.
