Subject: [CT Birds] yellow bellied sapsucker eating oranges in Kent
A male Yellow Belly has been gorging himself on oranges on my deck railing for several days, dawn to dusk. I had put two orange halves out in hope of attracting an Oriole. Fruitless endeavor! But now the Yellow Belly has discovered them, and I can’t keep them in stock. Several other birds have begun to investigate and enjoy, but still no Orioles.
