I made a similar follow-up dawn effort this morning in theS Immonen Rd
clear cut hoping yesterday's flight wasn'ta complete fluke. Was very
happy to see another somewhatreduced from yesterday but still
impressive (for Oregon)mixed species flight. The wind was lighter and
from the eastrather than northeast and the flight was much more
fannedout and harder to track than the previous day, requiring quitea
bit of distant scanning both east and west to get a handle on.The
large majority of birds were crossing the ridge 50-150feet above
ground or passing around it to the east, rather thanrunning into and
over the saddle as they were yesterday.Makeup of identifiable warblers
was lighter on Townsend'sand much heavier on Wilson's.
A single group of 8 Black Swifts went over about 7:45.
