Subject: [ia-bird] Shorebirds at Cone Marsh- Louisa County
There are some nice shorebirds at Cone Marsh the last couple
days.......present this morning, a Hudsonian Godwit, Dunlin, Short and
Long-billed Dowitchers and many others. They're in that corner between
220th and V Ave, probably best scoped from V Ave, but if they're in the
right spot you can see them from 220th, but lots of vegetation in the way.
The pair of Sandhill Cranes that were nesting in that area were leading
around a tiny, single colt this morning! Quite adorable :)
