Subject: [ia-bird] BC Night-Heron and Warblers - Johnson county
At the Squire Point trail, Coralville Reservoir this morning, over 80
Warblers were present and 17 species identified. Biggest surprise was a
Black-Crowned Night-Heron perched high in a tree. Hard to explain location
but at the main fork, take a right where there will be a large wood pile on
the south side of the trail. The bird is about 20 yards south of this
spot. You can walk further on the trail to the Green Vault Bar where you
can still view the bird looking Southwest.
