The Ground Squirrel Gazette

Today a FOY Chat and a Wilson’s Warbler were at HQ but I did not see either of them. I did see the FOY Hermit Thrush. Big numbers of orioles, tanagers and BH Grosbeaks came in, and an extra w kingbird. Basically no empids right now, which seems strange.

The Big Fat Bat was out over the pond again this afternoon. Are they feeding batlets already?

In buttville the number of whites has increased and a tortoiseshell was around yesterday. Still lots of painted ladies and mourning cloaks.

M.I. – one mosquito observed today.
