5/4/19: Akeley Swamp (SGL-282)
(10:58) observed a lone Sandhill Crane flying low and slow over the marsh, headed north toward the New York border. Extensive rust-colored highlights throughout its gray plumage. Long neck extended straight out in flight. Red crown and white cheeks plainly visible.
Also, at my home in North Warren, for the past two days a male Orchard Oriole has been a regular at my hummingbird feeder. Not a common bird in Warren County.
