Subject: [obol] Northern Waterthrush, Western Wood-Pewee (Ocean Park, WA)
Both were very near the Ocean Park library, about 25 miles north of Oregon yesterday.

The waterthrush was singing from various perches along the slough/creek across the street from the library.

I have birded along that waterway many times for years, and despite it looking like a great place for rarities, this was the first time I have seen one there.

The Western Wood-Pewee is only the second I recall having seen within a few hundred yards of the ocean in Oregon or Washington.
