Subject: [CT Birds] New Haven Bird Club 1st Wednesday Walk report
The always well attended New Haven Bird Club 1st Wednesday Walk at East Rock Park was not a “wash out”. Even though clouds and cool temperatures prevailed, 45 attendees enjoyed the star of the walk, a gorgeous and cooperative
Prothonotary Warbler, near the covered bridge area and the bird provided excellent views. We totaled 57 species for the day.
Thirteen warbler species were seen or heard by most of the group. Below is the eBird checklist for the trip. Thanks to John Oshlick and Bill Batsford for leading this walk.
