As in past days at Willapa Bay, there have been occasional flights of Cackling Geese, but more of White-fronted Geese. Two flocks of the latter just went over totaling about 1,200 individuals. Brant numbers picked today as well. On the Long Bech Peninsula the Brant tend to migrate low over the waves right next to shore because of the long straight stretch nature of the coast line. Some are also flying up the east side of the peninsula, as are some of the shorebirds.
