Subject: [obol] Wild Turkeys in Lincoln County

Wild Turkeys are uncommonly reported in Lincoln Co. In eBird for
Lincoln Co., there are only two reports in 2019: on 2/16 by Camden
Bruner who reported one at Harlan
( and on 4/17 by Liz
Holencik who saw and photographed two at Moonshine Park Road north of
Logsden (

Perhaps there is a late April movement of them this year in Lincoln
Co. Besides Liz's 4/17 report, Penelope Kaczmarek had two young
turkeys in their Siletz yard the afternoon of 4/22, and those were the
first in their living there for over 30 years.

This morning (4/28) in Yachats, Betty Bahn saw a male and female
turkey in her neighbor's backyard. She wrote: "I first thought they
must be escapes from a farm, but the female flew readily up into an
alder tree." She also noted that they were very wary like Wild
