Subject: [obol] North Coast Shorebird activity - 4/25/2019
Numbers of WHIMBRELS and MARBLED GODWITS continue to build. There
was a single flock of 63 godwits Tuesday, but only 20 or so today.

But the real action is on the beach. I spent nearly an hour this
afternoon surveying the beaches from Del Rey to Peter Iredale.
Tremendous numbers of SHORT-BILLED DOWITCHERS flying by (final count
was 531). Also season first SEMIPALMATED PLOVER, RED KNOT and
BONAPARTE'S GULL.
