I thought some folks here might be interested in participating in this
citizen science opportunity taking place in the city of Gresham. Contact
Kat Maloney with any questions.

My name is Kat Maloney, and I am an Americorps member who is currently
serving with the City of Gresham. Gresham’s 10th annual bird survey is
scheduled for May 13th-June 30th, 2019, and we are looking for volunteers
to dedicate three to four hours during this timeframe to record bird
sightings at pre-selected survey sites located within Gresham’s city
limits. I have attached a flyer for the survey orientation that will be
taking place on April 30th.

The data collected during the survey period helps scientists understand
which bird species are using the city, where these birds are located, and
when they are in the area. Over 25,000 individual data points have been
collected by dedicated volunteer birders since we started this survey in
2009, and I would really like to keep the momentum going this year! Thank
you for your time, if you have additional questions about the bird survey,
please do not hesitate to contact me.

Best regards,

Kat Maloney
