Terry Wahl reports three WESTERN KINGBIRDS at the family ranch near Cape
Blanco on Monday. He also saw CHIPPING SPARROWS the last few days
(Not sure on numbers). I incidentally saw 3 Chippers on Monday at Floras
Lake early with a crown sparrow flock. This species is uncommon but regular
on outer coast this time of year with an occasional coming to a feeder.

Terry says the ALEUTIAN CACKLERS continue with flocks flying back and forth
at the ranch. They are normally all gone by month’s end.

And north into Coos Norm and Karen Shorts report a couple TUFTED PUFFINS at
Face Rock in Bandon on Monday.

Merry migration!
