Subject: [ia-bird] Avocets, Dunbar Slough
Birders,

In western Greene County at Dunbar Slough there are currently approximately 60 American Avocets.

To view them a scope is needed. On 240th, just west of the slough habitat the road goes up a hill. Park on the north side of the road and scope south, southeast to the opposite end of the wetland in the distance. They were tucked against the southeast shoreline.

Bird on!
