Subject: [CT Birds] Hammo St Pk
Late afternoon was pretty active, after the rain showers tapered off.
West Beach area: still only one male Purple Martin at martin houses, 1 Yellow Warbler in brush along Swan Pond, 2 Least Sandpiper in largest grass puddle at far west end of parking lots. Lots of DC Cormorants migrating over.
East Beach/Meigs Point area: 2 Brown Thrashers, 1 Willet, 5 American Oystercatcher, 2 Piping Plover, hybrid Little Blue/Tricolored Heron. Approx 20 Glossy Ibis in marsh along park road near the "S" curve.
Willards Island quiet, just a Brown Thrasher to note.
