Subject: [ia-bird] White-faced Ibis and Avocets
7 miles north of Burlington (Des Moines County) off county 99, there is a
breeding plumaged White-faced Ibis. Take the road toward the river (east)
when you see the Stony Hollow Rd. I can't remember the road number.
This was at 7:45 this AM.
Also, there were 7 Am Avocets at Blackhawk Bottoms (Cessford Quarry Lake)
south of Burlington at 7Am this morning. However, they took off not to be
seen again.
