Subject: [CT Birds] Glastonbury - Tundra Swans
2/10/18 - Glastonbury CT River - 3 Tundra Swans, Snow Goose and 75+
Northern Pintails (high count for an inland site and time of year). These
birds were mixed in with 2,000+ Canada Geese which extended about a mile
starting from the Glastonbury Boat House and south. Most birds left the
area by mid-morning. Best viewing locations of the river would be from the
Glastonbury Boat House or behind the Waste Treatment Plant (short trail to
the river from behind the plant) looking west and Elm Street in
Wethersfield looking east (scope may be needed from Wethersfield). Early
morning or late afternoon may be best.
