Subject: Rte 2 Birding
I made a quick trip up Rte 2 this morning to see if I could relocate several of the species reported yesterday. I was able to spot the Cedar Waxwings, Wood Ducks and Tree Swallow at Greenbottom WMA. At the Robert C. Byrd Locks & Dam, the Ross’s Goose and Tundra Swans were on the Ohio side of the river in the corn field area. No sign of the Short-eared Owl. Some of the birds seen this morning are shown below.
