Subject: Perry Lake - late report
Sorry for the late report. Yesterday afternoon there was a female
Long-tailed Duck and a juvenile Thayer's Iceland Gull at the Perry Lake
Outlet tubes. The duck was hanging out with a flock of approximate 100
Common Goldeneye and they took flight a couple of times while I was there.
A group of 5 of us last saw it in the open water from the SE side of the
dam.

A stop at Bowerstock Dam on the way home only included adult Herring and
Ring-billed Gulls, it would have been awesome to see an adult Kumlien
Iceland as Jeff suspected.

Good birding,

Malcolm Gold (Overland Park Johnson County)
