Subject: [JERSEYBI] Slow birding this afternoon - Wheelabrator
In gloucester county. I had the afternoon free. Working Sunday.
No Woodcock. And I tried! Not listening for peenting, but bush wacking through woods. None.
They like Yong’s woods! I recall trying during my Cumberland big year in 2014. Brian sent me to
spots. Nothing! That’s a jinx bird for me. I read the links you sent Yong. I enjoy a habitat study.
Although Wheelabrator was perfect. Wet woods, birch trees, power line cut for displaying.
But no Woodcock. Oh well.

I only had 9 species for my time there. Very slow.

Good birding all.
