Subject: [CT Birds] CACC
2/6 Milford, Connecticut Audubon Coastal Center
10am-1:30PM, sunny, low tide rising, 35F.
The marsh waters were like glass today. 17 American Black ducks, 10 Red
breasted Mergansers (1 male was messing up his "hair do"-it kept rubbing
his head on his back and his feathers were so ruffled), 1 Common Loon, 1
Mute Swan, 3 Gadwalls, 3 Canada Geese fly over.
On grounds & feeders, were 2 Blue Jays, 6 Mourning doves, 2 Song sparrows,
1 White breasted nuthatch, 2 Titmouse, 3 House finches, 2 Cardinals, 4
Black capped chickadees, 1 American Goldfinch, and House sparrows.

On Long Island Sound side, -over 100 Canada Geese, 7 Gadwalls, 4 Green
winged teal, 2 Mute swans (1 was juvenile with some gray feathers), .
