Subject: [CT Birds] Stratford birds
No Teal seen at Birdseye boat ramp in Stratford today, but there were 3 American Coot and a Pied-billed Grebe in the channel next to the parking lot. Large raft of Scaup offshore, as well as many Common Goldeneye.
Previously reported 1st year Iceland and Glaucous Gulls at Long Beach. Many Long-tailed Duck offshore, with many Common Goldeneye, including a melanistic individual (black overall with a patch of dark grey on the flanks). Good group of Sanderling and Dunlin on the shore and breakers.
