Titmice fool me most of the time. I think they're on their way to
becoming our new mockingbirds.

I went out this morning to play in my driveway (hockey, anyone?).
Imagine my surprise when I heard 3 perfectly-rendered Red-eyed Vireo
songs articulated in quick succession. Puzzled, I waited a moment-and a
Tufted Titmouse then went into it’s typical “peto.” I’ve been
fooled before by some of the vocalizations of this species, but this was
a first.
