I had a few people send me the link to the photo (posted below). I think
the experts were correct on this one. It appears small because it’s a
smaller duck species, not a Common Goldeneye. It looks like a teal, likely
a Green-winged Teal. Size can be misleading, but the structure usually
stays the same.
