Subject: [SFBirds] Sutro & L Merced
Two female Common Goldeneye's were swimming south of the concrete bridge
this morning at South Lake Merced, an unusual site for this species.
Singles of Virginia Rail and Sora were visible in the reeds at the NE end
of the bridge, and approximately 15 Great-tailed Grackles lifted up out of
the reeds around 7:30 and headed off to shop at Westlake.

Last Thursday, three Red Phalaropes flew by the terrace at the Sutro Baths,
while six Marbled Murrelets flew into the Gate at differing intervals.
There were over 200 Red-throated Loons, many on the ocean, and many more
flying north.
